Great buys today from a store near you but news too of a tempting dessert wine offer along with a new feature – Top Tips to get the most from wine.

Nice Majestic and Waitrose wines in my Best of the Rest choices today but the main feature offers no fewer than 12 wines from the current Sainsbury’s promotion; they include options from Chile, California and China – yes China.

Here are some (already well priced) Tesco wines that could start at £3.75 plus a couple of tasty “Best of the Rest” recommendations to enliven your summer drinking.

After Sainsbury’s hugely popular “20% off when you buy 6” deals, it is back to that retailer’s day job promotions this morning – but there are still some nice and well priced examples for you to enjoy – plus a sauvignon from their arch rivals!

Many wine lovers look forward to Lidl’s Wine Cellar promotions every couple of months – and a new one starts today. It has some great value wines (from £4.99) especially – but not exclusively – from Spain.

Once again, Sainsbury’s are offering 25% off with purchases of six or more bottles from today – until 6 June. Here is one star rosé you can use the deal to buy – along with several others to which a double discount applies.

Some retailers shout their current promotions from the rooftops so it is nice to focus on a supermarket with some good offers but gems in its main list too.
